Bach's father was an organist. Bach was the youngest in the family.  
Age 10 - He lost his parents. 
Age 15 - Bach's musical career began when he became a choirboy and as an organ mechanic and tuner.  
Age 17-22 - He was appointed organist.  
Age 23 -He became the court organist. He then went on to serve the Prince of Kothen as musical director. 
Age 43 - He became chief musical director for all of Leipzig, a position he held for most of his life.  
Age 65 - died in Leipzig.
